A connected elevator sounds modern. A dashboard nobody checks is just another password. Elevator IoT monitoring helps when you have enough units and a team that acts on fault codes — not when you have one villa lift and a shiny app.

Useful outcomes: fewer blind truck rolls, faster door/drive diagnosis, cleaner warranty arguments, contract reports with evidence. Less useful: vanity “predictive” claims without process change.

Ask who hosts the data, in which country, how SIM/LAN access works on site, and who can open a remote session. Cybersecurity is not optional if you allow off-site control paths.
